COMMUNITY CHURCH OLIVEHURST
God Loves you dearly and created you to have a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus!
GOD'S LOVE
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Understand that your sin separates you from God.
OUR SIN
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Sin is any thought, word, or deed that falls short of God’s standard which is perfection.
Sin is missing the mark of perfection, falling short of the target. We can't make it on our own.
BUT I'M A GOOD PERSON
ROMANS 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
No one is able to satisfy God's requirement by their own efforts. None of us are good enough.
Now What?
Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.
Jesus Died For You
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God's love for us is so great that He sent Jesus Christ to die in our place when we least deserved it
Repent from your sins.
Personally receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
Receiving Jesus does not happen by attending a church service or listen to a sermon. You need to invite Jesus into your heart through prayer. He will live in your heart and become part of your life.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Confess, Believe, Receive
Romans 10:9-11 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
If you would like to have a relationship with Christ Pray this prayer and mean it in your heart
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
